I can't believe that I am already on day 18. It seems that time has gone by really fast. I have also become very accustomed to this life here in Playa Del Carmen. Earlier today, Alexandra and I talked about how life is for those that live here in Playa. She mentioned that there can be a lot of sadness.

This again goes to show you how much of a deal you can get if take some time to look around here in Mexico and how easy it is to enjoy many mini-retirements for less then $1000 a month. Compare that to staying at resort for 1 week which costs around the same. The food you get at these little family restaurants are also a lot better then the resorts and a lot healthier for you.

Alexandra gets her clients from TripAdvisor. As I mentioned in my Day 12 post "The Beaches Of Tulum, Casa De Las Olas And Dinner By Chef Iserte" she hosts private cooking classes and also private dinners on request. Alexandra has a deep love for cooking and you can really taste it in everything that she makes. Chef Alexandra's dining table was now transformed into a bullpen style work area. I continued working on my half broken website until I finally go it all up. It was finally done and everything was working perfectly. If you have been following my blog prior to this date, you will notice the big change in the layout. I am very happy with it at this point.

I was craving it and I also wanted Andrea's first meal here to be the best of Playa Del Carmen when it comes to taquerias so we quickly headed over.

All the pyramids were roped off. Apparently, they were roped off because of the deterioration. Now how was I supposed to go inside one and meditate, like Sergio suggested I do.

Andrea was on her way to Tulum to spend the rest of her days in Mexico at Casa De Las Olas and also at the Mayan ruins. I told Andrea that I would come down there at some point to visit. Jimmy had also invited me over to Cas De Las Olas, and it would be great to see him before I leave. I also haven’t been to the Tulum ruins yet. Gaston, Sergio and just about everyone I met, insisted that I visit the ruins. All the signs seem to be pointing towards the ruins in Tulum. This Sunday, I am going for sure.

They are that good! I then walked Andrea to the beach to show her where it is. I couldn’t stay on the beach however because I had work to do.

This last bit of information provided by my friend Chef Alexandra, was the last bit of information I needed for my journey. I felt complete.
